Suzanne de Bruin

In June 2020 I obtained my law certificate of higher professional education at the Hogeschool Inholland in Rotterdam. During my studies I volunteered as a legal assistant at victim support organisation Slachtofferhulp Nederland. I also did a traineeship at the Schadefonds Geweldsmisdrijven damage fund for victims of violence. My passion for providing counsel and support to victims is rooted in both these organisations.

In September 2020 I started the Premaster ESL General at the Erasmus Universiteit. I have chosen to do advanced studies because I ultimately want to support and counsel victims during (criminal) proceedings.

I have been in 20-hour employment with Elfi Letselschade Advocaat since November 2020. I am charged with the contacts with victims and I support our lawyers during their work. I think it’s great being allowed to match my studies with “the real job”.
